Welcome Remarks

UWI-ROYTEC is a full subsidiary of The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. The institution facilitates the transition from secondary school to the workplace, as well as, the up-skilling of persons who are already in the work place. UWI-ROYTEC successfully serves a wide cross-section of persons throughout Trinidad and Tobago, from a range of sectors, to inculcate strong, practical, career-focussed skills and to produce talent for leadership and workplace readiness in an evolving business environment.

The institution offers courses of study that lead to certificates, diplomas, associate degrees, bachelors and master's degrees, as well as, a range of corporate training programmes for working professionals. The institution's main campus is located at 136-138, Henry Street, Port of Spain with an offsite centre located at Naparima College in San Fernando. Driven to contribute to the human resource capital of the nation, UWI-ROYTEC prides itself in being a leader in applied learning and specialized training, empowering all learners to exceed workplace expectations.

Under the ownership of the University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine, the affairs of UWI-ROYTEC is guided by a Board of Directors appointed by the University. Professor Rose-Marie Belle Antoine, Principal and Pro Vice Chancellor, The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine serves as Chairman of the UWI-ROYTEC Board.
